Aguilar Wedding – Wedding

Sean and I met Adolfo and Aki back in January and we were beyond excited about this wedding before they could even introduce themselves. I could tell that they were both so fun and kind just via email, so when I got to  put a face to the name it was great. I felt like we were old friends. Aki and Adolfo have a way of just making you feel at home and welcome. I really appreciate people like that.

Aki is incredibly beautiful. She’s just a stunning person. Regardless of how pretty she is, she’s also incredibly humble and sweet. She’s a true joy. Adolfo is vibrant and exciting. He’s got this smile that just makes you want to know what in the world is making him so happy. Well, I can actually answer that. Shortly after meeting them, I soon found out that Aki truly was the reason that Adolfo beams. Seriously. He just looks at her in a way that’s so special, so loving, so full of hopes and dreams. Watching them together is both a privilege and a joy.

The wedding day was nothing short of amazing.  4 locations, lots of personality, two amazingly different and beautiful cultures that came together and a whole lot of love and happiness.

Aki and Adolfo, thank you for giving us the honor of documenting your amazing day. We couldn’t have had more fun and we are so glad we got to make some amazing friends!

Now for the photos!

Aki, you are just beautiful.

Ready to head over to the ceremony site. Love her veil.

Oh, you know. Just a little flower girl/ring bearer love. ;-)

This amazing church was built in the early 1900’s. It had so much character. I unfortunately wasn’t allowed to go past a certain spot to shoot during the ceremony… but would you look at that ceiling?!

This was the first wedding I’ve been a part of where there was no “you may kiss the bride” moment… but we were able to snap a few shots of the newly weds as they left the church. Don’t worry, I made them smooch later. :-)

This is little flower girl Leah. She was bored during formals. Bored, but so cute. I could just smoosh her.

Unfortunately, due to timing/limos/traffic  and what not,  I was only able to spend literally 5 minutes with Aki and Adolfo for their shoot. Not my ideal world, but when you are as lovely as these two… all you need is 5 minutes. :-)

Okay, I know these pictures are both very similar… but I love the almost kiss moments as much as I love kiss moments.

Similar again, I know. But they are so cute!

Onto the reception site…

Aki and Adolfo designed everything!

So, the reason I posted this photo is only for the one after it. When Aki threw the bouquet it  went STRAIGHT up and definitely got caught on the roof area and slid off… and we all laughed. :-) I love her expression in the next photo!

This is the bouquet getting lost on the roof for a moment reaction. ;-)

I love this shot that Sean captured of Adolfo!

This photo is so sweet to me. It’s Adolfo’s dad with Aki during the first dances. I love how in the background you see Adolfo and his mother sharing a sweet moment.

I have got to say, Aki and Adolfo can DANCE! They were doing some pro salsa dancing!

Last but not least, the after party was held at Altitude in downtown San Diego. It’s on top of the Mariott and it’s crazy up there! I never would have gone on my own since I’m terrified of heights, but I will say… it was totally worth it!

You can literally watch the Padres game from up there!

Beautiful Aki!

We met an excited bride to be! I just had to snap a quick photo! I’m always a fan of the crown and sash. :-)

And naturally, the bride needed a photo with the bride to be. Too cute.

Always laughter.

Aki’s sweet sister Aya took this photo of the 4 of us and I totally love it! Congratulations Aki and Adolfo!!!

Brooke – I am DYING right now. These pictures are so, so, so great! Oh my gosh I want to comment on each one. Will they be on your facebook page? Seriously, great detail shots. Love, love the one of the flower girl & ring bearer. Love the bouquet shot, and the dress. And the ceiling of the church. Ok, I think you get the picture here. GREAT work, really!!
I’m going to go look at them again because I can’t get enough ;)

You just keep getting better and better. I would have to say that these are some of the best you’ve taken. I can’t really choose which one I like best, they are all so good. However, the black & white of the bored flower girl is beyond precious. I am so proud of you!

Wow Brooke. You really have nothing to worry about concerning your business. You’ve got all the talent you need. Every post shows how you are growing and gaining even more skill, and I know that in no time, you will be the one everyone goes too, with too much business! People will have to schedule waaaaay in advance! <3

So proud of you, you are simply brilliant.

And to the wedding couple, congrats! You're beautiful!
