I just have to take a quick moment to recognize my sweet husband on Fathers day.
For those of you who don’t know… he is half of this business. He is my husband, business partner, best friend and most importantly the best daddy a mommy could want.
I unfortunately did not grow up having a relationship with my father at all, which I know is so common. So, because of that I’ve never really seen a dad in action.
All I can say is God knew the desires of my heart when he blessed me with Sean.
Sean is the most hands on dad… seriously. He’s changed more poop diapers than I have. Seriously! When I got pregnant with Joelle, the mere thought of a number 2 diaper… ahhh… would be enough to make me, well… I’m sure you get where I’m going with this… ;-)
Anyway, he completely is the sweetest and just took over diaper duty whenever he was home. Never once did he complain, never once did he ask if I could do it… just this once… NOTHING. He took on diaper changes like they were going out of style.
I know that probably isn’t a big deal to you, but when you are an extremely nauseous pregnant woman, it was worth it’s weight in gold.
I remember thinking just before Joelle was born… “how in the H E DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS am I going to be able to run this business the way it needs to be run and be a mommy of 2 kids under 2?!?!?”
Here is another place that daddy stepped in. He completely took over bedtime for me, and he lets me edit and do work and spend time with the baby bird (Joelle) so that we can have our “girl time”. :-)
The thing about all of that is… I never had to ask him. He didn’t wait until I lost my cool and went over the edge. Sean doesn’t do that. He knows me. He knows his children. He knows when I’m about to break, and he doesn’t let it happen.
I’m telling you, I hit the jackpot with this one.
Anyway, I just had to take this moment to say Happy Fathers day! You are the best father, and your children and your wife are SO blessed that you are the head of our household. We are stronger and better with you.
Love you, daddy. ;-)
and to all you dads out there… you are awesome!
Just being a great daddy… kisses for all!
